Heated seat after market element replacement

    Hello,

I would like to get the drivers heated seat working again in the orange disco. Genuine seat cushion and squab heater elements seem rather spendy, so I was wondering if generic heater elements would work instead. Rave says the cushion element is 80 watts and the squab is 36 watts. Generic ones seem to be 24-36 watts generally in a kit with a thermostat. I was going to swap plugs over and fit the heater elements only.

Will generic work or do I need to go genuine?

    Thanks for any advise.
