Maybe a bare wire in the door to body? Is the wiper negative or positive switched?
Good afternoon all,
having a strange issue with my rear window wiper. When I unlock the car the rear wiper activates.
I have checked the settings and nothing is turned on. When I turn the key to to start the the same thing happens. What am I looking at dodgy solenoids maybe ?? I was away for several months and a new battery has been fitted. Everything else appears normal. Any ideas appreciated on where to look is appreciated.
cheers Chris

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Hi. That's a really odd oneUnplug the wiper switch and check continuity across it's terminals from where the light green/green against the blue/green then red/green wires go(these are both positive feeds to the motor) with switch on then off to make sure that it's not stuck closed somewhere, the readings for switch on should be all the other way around than when it's off if you see what i mean. The switch gets the feed from the BCU and sends it directly to the motor. If the wiper works with switch unplugged there might be a short in the loom and it gets positive feed from the door latch or something, the loom used to be chaffed where it passes between the body and door

I'd be tempted to pull the indicator and then the central locking fuses and see if that changes it. Cos that should narrow it down to which circuit is shorting.
You are tempted to do silly things before those really important which i desribed![]()
