Thread: CAS troubles

Hey all,
Picked up a cheap 99 Disco2 V8 manual with gas vapour injection. Ran fine, then randomly wouldn't start. Crank, no spark. Have managed to get it running with CAS installed loosely without the outer case around the CAS. If i run it with the case on it will crank but no start (no spark), if i have it loose it will run. Do i have the wrong CAS installed? Is there something further that has happened? A bit puzzled here.

Dunno about the V8, but on my diesel ( CAS located in another place ) one of the wires had rubbed through and randomly shorted to earth, First thing I'd be looking for. Other than that, no idea.
