Thread: Traction Control?

Hi, which manual says it's likely traction control fault? cos it can be many things except that ... this can be cheap or expensive according to the fault code, you have to plug in a diagnostic tool to see it. AAMOF if you want to have an ideea search "3 amigos" cos it's one of the most common D2 faults

X2 on a diagnostic. Nanocom or similar. Unless you know the cause of the fault, you can spend big replacing parts that are working correctly.

Funny thing is that the most likely fault is a shot wheel bearing.

the only faults mine has ever has were from front wheel bearings and one sensor connection.

Both of mine RHS front was wheel bearing, the second was so bad it also chewed up the ABS sensor!

I HAD THE 4 LIGHTS YOU DESCRIBED, NANOCOM TOLD ME RIGHT FRONT SENSOR INTERMITANT FAULT. REPLACED HUB UNIT WHICH HAD A NEW SENSOR IN IT , RESET THE FAULT NO LIGHTS NOW.

You either need to read your fault codes with a D2 compatible diagnostic tool (e.g. Nanocom, Hawkeye), or just grab a magic 8 ball and give it a shake from advise...

Had these come on the dash as well after a trip a couple of weeks ago.

Turns out the ABS sensor wire was pulled out of contact although seemingly connected. OHM meter connected and it was pulling ZERO (950-1100 normal).

Nanocom gave error of no electrical connection by the way, it was right! This I might add was after an intermittent low sensor reading when the new hub was installed late last year - it came with the abs sensor wire - so had replaced with an old lead and it was fine before being pulled out.

Brake caliper and disc off (13mm) and it was a simple change over (5mm allen bolt) and the lights are now off and roughly only about half a hours work. Now definitely sourcing long leads for the rear hubs.
