No, as I have my ARB compressor mounted under the drivers seat. It works really really well as the compressor outlet is right under the little hatch so very user friendly. A slimline AGM should fit - just don’t flood the passenger compartment!
Has anyone installed or seen a slimline AGM battery mounted under either of the front seats?
There seems to be a rather large void under both seats (plus that odd little access lid on the driver's side) that could possibly house a slimline battery?
Just brainstorming ideas for a dual battery. I have the v8 so to my knowledge there is no bracket to mount on passenger side firewall and i like to use the rear bins for storage.
Cheers everyone

Lithiums still occasionally do bad things.
I wouldn’t want it directly under my (or my wife’s) arse.
Bit different in a Defender as there’s a metal box to give at least a few seconds to work it out and jump out the vehicle.
I think you are confusing Lithium Ion as in Tesla etc and Lithium Iron Phosphate LifePo4 as in the auto shape batteries . Lifepo4 batteries are heavier and less energy dense than Lion but much saferLithiums still occasionally do bad things
I have not heard of a Lifepo4 battery having thermal runaway
here is a good discussion from Will Prouse who is a vlogger who tests Lifepo4 batteries and dissects them .

Safer yes, still don’t like water etc and can still short and burn great.
Under front seat of a D2 is not a dry spot in stuck water crossings!
With no SLS you can fit it on the compressor shelf, or under the body, behind a rear wheel. Check out my YouTube channel on how to do this. Do not hold your breath!!
