Yeah, this is my thought. Don't worried about scratching the duco or having to pay mad amounts of stamp duty. My best mate has a 200 series and has often said when we're out touring tracks " You've got the least to lose here". And he's right. For the amount you pay on stamp duty for a second hand 200 i have bought 2 v8 d2s.

not to mention the cost of insurance!
If you've got a D2 as a recreational 'part timer', and just an average every day run about daily to get to the shops/work/etc ... you'd just have it on thirdparty damage cover. The cost of comprehensive insurance, per year would be as much as a spare parts hack.

SWMBO has a 5.4 V8 in her Ford. Does that qualify me/her as a friend?
