Parked and locked. Brake lights on!

Never a dull moment with a D2. Having a beer at the Walhalla pub and noticed the brake lights were still on.
Opened up and hit the brakes only to see the dash lights flicker on. Anyway, started her up and headed home and all seemed normal other than brake lights.
Parked up at home, I had to disconnect the battery to make the lights go out.
Should be another interesting day working this one out.

    Does cruise control work?

Also - you'll probably melt the tail light plastic if the brake lights stay on too long. Mine did

The chocolates go to RobMichelle, with alien also on the right track.
The slide control on my secondhand Tekonsha Brake Controller was not fully to the right. I thought these controllers had a spring return on them, but not this one. Unplugged while not in use is definitely the way to go.
    Thanks all for your ideas.

Can I have a BIG box please Parked and locked. Brake lights on!
I wouldn’t use the controller again until either fixed properly or bin it and get a new one, don’t need van/trailer brakes dragging

I take that means it should have a spring return?
I’ll pull it apart and have a look. It actually works very well otherwise.
