It has logic, but it'll take too long to explain!
It can be fixed but I'll warn everyone,70 has long been suggested as a nice point for lock in 4th, but lockup at 70 is pretty low revs in 4th, you may struggle for acceleration...a lot, so I don't know what speed is appropriate, possibly a case by case thing.
70 locked in 4th wouldn't work in a stock tuned car at all.
Good tune with VGT would be best but $$$
I'd say stick to the 70K/h in 4th idea, as a general all round fitment solution.
Anyone that requires more get up and go, but stuck at low revs could easily hold it in 3rd if needed, or pull back manually to 3rd from 4th easily enough.
Why more vehicles don't allow unlocked gate from top back to the next lower gear has always confused me .. yet many (mainly Japs) autos allow unlocked gate from drive to N, which has never made sense either!
One other point to stick to the 70 at top idea is that most that would want to use your modded tune, will almost certainly also have at the least a ECU tune too.
I don't understand the process of chip programming and or programming to taste .. but if it involves any more complications in any way, the 70 locked in 4th all round idea would be the ideal mod to go with.
When going uphill at 90~100 kph, what happens first, TC unlock or change to third?
