HI , Iam no great expert but your cylinder corrections are way out .
They are the last 5 rows on the excel spreadsheet and should be max about 1.5 or -1.5
This suggests that you have leaking injector seals.
Is the thing hard to start sometimes and when it starts it starts on a few cylinders then gradually clears?
    Or a crook injector

Did you do the test with the engine cold? as the water temp shows 67C up to 71C. If you did it warm then the thermostat is faulty as it should be 82C. Or maybe the sender is faulty or the plug dirty. I know mine was running rough once and showing a low reading on the gauge . I pushed on and pulled off the temp sensor wire a few times and bob was a relative.

From cold I’d done about 10kms at 80kmh, parked for 15mins, then turned on the logging when I got back into the car and headed off again. Likely it wasn’t fully up to temp, but I’ll keep an eye on it.

Always starts easily and seems to run smoothly. I’m more used to the 4bd1 and 300tdi - so smooth is relative to those

I’ve ordered a new VDO MAF, and will do some more logging once that’s in.

Why don't you just use the Instrument mode on the Nanocom to diagnose the MAF?? At idle the airflow should read between 55 to 60 at idle and up into the high 400's somewhere for a stock tune when given reasonably hard acceleration.
Idle can also be checked with a multimeter and should read 2v between a direct earth and pin 2 on the MAF.

If your'e not getting either of the idle readings then its a MAF issue.

Today I removed, cleaned and replaced the MAP sensor, no discernable difference, so I screwed the boost up. Some improvement, according to the Nanocom at full noise, uphill doing 100k, spinning about 4,000+, the boost is 0.9 bar. Is that normal?
Should have a new MAP tomorrow.
If it makes any difference, the EGR has been blanked.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

If you can post a log of the drive, I or someone else can check the sensors.

Ian runs over logs, he doesn't post them.

You (and others) really should learn how to do it!

It's a really powerful tool at your disposal that can save hours of frustration and hundreds.. Possibly even thousands of dollars at times.

I realise it will be difficult for some, but if you can get onto AULRO and post, you should be able to do the other..

    How's that for encouragement!!

Been running with the MAF disconnected for a while now, and runs pretty nicely.
Finally got around to fitting the new VDO one. Seemed to be working normally for about the first 1km after I fitted it, then felt like the power dropped back to what it was with the original MAF plugged in - and it became a slug again.
Unplugged the new MAF - goes OK again.

I've attached a couple of logs. 20230415.csv is with the MAF connected, and 230515NR is with it unplugged.
The only differences I can see when its unplugged are:
    • boost is higher
    • there are values in EGR Inlet and Wastegate graphs ( compared to zero with MAF plugged in)

Any ideas where to go from here?

PS - Just a random thought - but I haven't actually checked the inlet duct pre-air filter. Would a restriction there (eg rats nest) perhaps give the behaviour I'm getting?
