I hope you are not getting confused with your wheel nuts

D2's have 1(one) anti theft nut on each wheel and a special socket should be in your tool kit for that, its fairly hefty

the other 4 nuts on each wheel are a special capped nut, the caps are not meant to be removed. I think a 27mm socket fits them, someone suggested 28 but I think that's wrong. I may be.

any LR workshop can help you . why were you trying to remove them?

I sold my D2 with over 300,000km on it and the wheel nuts were still good.

Don't ever let a tyre shop put a rattle gun on your wheels, they will **** your nuts for you.
I removed the cyl head (plastic dowels) and couldn't get the workshop crane close enough with the wheel on. I ended up jacking the wheel up.
All sorted now. For some reason I had 4x Disco wheel nuts in good nick in my parts collection & can ditch the locknuts- we did have a disco 1 about 10 years ago must have been from it.

Nope. D1 and D2 won't interchange. Thread size is different.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
