Thread: New springs and shock on front. 2" lift! Or not.

    Certain all I did was use the jack to push each axle down a bit and the spring inserted without issue, no compressors on spring or such.

    All the answers have been given...

    *remove front prop.
    *remove x-member.
    *use a bottle jack between the chassis and axle housing.

    Also as others have said, a 2" over standard ride height isnt always taller when sat next to the old coil. my last D2 had 2" over std but as I fitted heavy load coils it actually gave it a 3" lift.

    No, just dropped only one side of the axle (used a jack to keep other side compressed) and then squeeze spring by hand. Top in first, bottom pushed in after.
