    no brakes

Hi all on my way home today my brake pedal became rock hard and my braking was near nonexistent when I got home I replaced the booster line from the booster to the alternator pump with no improvement. I disconnected the booster line while the car was running at the booster there seems to be no suction there in the line back to the vacuum pump. I replaced the one way valve into the booster with a after market one from a brake specialist any help would be great thanks .

Hi, check the pipe(s) from the T-joint toward the EGR modulator solenoid(s) or EGR valve(s)(if it's still there)... if these are ruled out do somehow to check for vacuum directly on the vacuum pump's port and if no sucction there then the pump is gone.

There is still something between the vacuum pump and booster where it can leak though cos if it's a leak on the line somewhere there will be nothing at the booster hence my first reply
