I've recently gone through this exercise.
I went with King springs, from Repco, +40 as standard height are no longer available.
Shocks were Bilsteins from Les Richmond, Andrew is the guru there.
The ride has become almost as good as my L322.

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

With regards to ARB and the others, they have moved on. They have precisely zero interest an a nearly 25 yo niche car. I was able, a few years back, to get some bits from their factory, but as Nick pointed out I was lucky.

Hopefully you've taken into account that winches 20 years on are likely to be loaded with dyneema etc, 10-15 kg lighter than wire rope.

I know of at least 6 D2 TD5's running 200lb which have been running that set up that set up on the front for years, all are very happy with both the comfort and articulation, none have sagged.

Not just about bump valving either, rebound valving plays its part too.

I'm with Tins, in that maybe give ARB a miss regarding this.
    Oh jesus, seriously....

Why don't you offer some wisdom to the O.P. instead of nit picking, 200lb, 220lb, it's not a world of difference, get Jesus to help you if that floats your boat.

I have removed a couple of winches from D2's that the owners never used, relocated the Aux battery on one of them, then removed ( in both cases ) the KRFR-06HD springs ( around 260lb/inch ) and replaced with a lighter rate which made a world of difference.

If your Dad isn't going to use the winch, this may be an option, as all that weight up front negatively impacts the ride quality IMO.

Dad will be using the winch. He gave me a warn winch fir my car too that he had been saving for something but as this came with a winch already, he's a happy boy.

I think he should go talk to a suspension place really or arb Suspension question
You have rear helper airbags with coils? or the SLS air bags? The SLS airbags give a good ride. If you fit the SLS air springs, you will need a 4mm to 6mm adapter.

Hey if you think 200lbs will be fine then great, it's not though.

Did the same to our last D2,all corners,5 seater so no SLS.
Standard height, available back in the day,the ride was great.
