    Key fob and old nanacom

Hi y’all, I’m had a bit of an issue where my key fob got wet and stopped working. I managed to swap a micro switch over onto another one I had and now have one working.
This just highlighted the need for a second fob. I was just after some advice on where to get a replacement from??
I also only have an externally old Nanacom and am not 100% sure if it is able to program the new fob.

If any one has some experience on this I would be great full for some help.
    Thanks
    Jim

Forget about the cheap ones. The Valeo ones are the only ones to get. Most Aus delivered cars use 433MHz.

    Try here.

I think the early vehicles were 315, so possibly all the MSB operated ones, so that's a few.

But yes, possibly more are 433 than 315.

I used these ones from AliExpress https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMJIl02 they coded up fine (just had to figure out how to get the 6 digit code from the barcode) but they don't work with the passive de immobilizer coil. So if you unlock the car but don't try and start it long enough to for the car to re immobilize you have to press the unlock button again. But given its a choice between $50 and $500 it doesn't bother me.

Mine, built 1999, delivered 2000, is MSB and 433, so I guess it's random. I believe it's possible to change the roof receiver for the 433 if that's the only key you can get.

You can get proper ones for $50. The code is on a sticker on the back of the PCB.

Really? That surprises me.. Maybe I'm too easy to surprise!

BTW, I would just get a second hand genuine fob myself, somewhere like TRS in Adelaide would likely have some.
