    Wiper controls a bit iffy.

When I turn the rotary switch, the wipers work. When I pull the stalk towards me the wipers work, most of the time. When I move the stalk down, sometime, very rarely the wipers work. Id this a clean the contacts job?

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

    Hmmm, I get this ... kind'a sort'a too.

First thing in the morning or whatever(just first thing), turn rotary to run wipers .. zip! About 2 sec later they work like nothing wrong.
Will do this on all three settings.
Pull down for a quick wipe, they work fine if held, but if just a quick flick down for a single wipe, they stop halfway across, then wipe again of their own accord.
Once running(like warmed up) they work like nothing's wrong.

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!

There is a write up on here about pulling stalk apart and re applying some Vaseline, I read it along time ago thinking I should do this as mine needs tweaking of the end bit to get them started

I just replaced mine with a new one a couple of years ago.

Was not that expensive from UK.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
