My steering wheel makes a groaning noise when turning it left at parking speeds, I assume it's because of:
- dirty or cheap power steering fluid (bought it like this),
- air in the system,
- hose from reservoir to pump is old and lets air in through micro holes (my mechanic's theory)

The easiest is to flush the fluid and then bleed it the old fashioned way, but that seems messy.

This guy seems to have a novel way without the engine being on and without spilling (and without a turkey baster):

He recycles the fluid and bleeding this way seems to be really comprehensive. You get to see air and also the state of the fluid, so you can flush it out as you go without the stress of the engine running.

Any idea what size tubing to buy to fit it into the bleed hole? Bunnings? Edit: Someone on the original video commented 4 years ago: Hose should be 1/4”
