Help needed, chasing a 50mm lift for Disco 2

    Howdy all
Long time member and contributor but just acquired a Disco 2 to go along with my Disco 4. The Disco 2 has standard SLS suspension but keen to get a 2 inch lift. Do we put spacers in the rear and keep the SLS or coil convert and spec the coils for the extra weight? If so, has anyone got some recent experience and recommendations for who to talk to? Our budget is going to be somewhere between $1k and $1.5K.
    Cheers

What do you use it for mostly? My 2 bob's is keep the SLS. I took it out and I regret it, but I did fit stiff coils.

Disco will be used for mostly daily with some camping trips with rooftop tent and loaded up in the rear. Occasional beach and offroad bush 4wding. Where can we get SLS kit to suit the 2 inch?

I lifted mine 40mm, only because standard height coils were unavailable. The SLS can be calibrated 35mm higher. I'm expecting some sag in the coils.
For a magic carpet like ride, I recommend King springs and Bilstien shocks.

That's what I've got, so check the coil stiffness as mine is a bit harsh. Corners well though

I also fitted air bag helpers at the rear, but you won't need those if you keep the SLS. Next time I feel like throwing $$$ at the car I'm reinstating it on mine.

Is it just me, or does the Les Richmond website need some work?
Thanks for the guide all, I would love to install Billies all round and 50mm lift coils at the front with a set of spacers on the back. We have a nanocom, how hard is it to recalibrate the bags?

Dead simple, if I can do it anyone can.
John, on roads such as Gap Creek, which has speed bumps every couple of hundred yards, I get a smoother ride if I can drive at double the recommended speed. I have no idea what dampers I have on the back, but they have given sterling service in my eight years and 100,000k ownership.

Got my 50 mm lift from Les Richmond.

Spacers in the rear(have SLS) and new springs up front with Bilsteins all round.

    I highly recommend Les Richmond
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
