If y cut the ends off a coat hanger to make 2x U shapped bits of wire, and stick these into the holes in face of the head unit on either side. This will unlock the headunit. If you can jam the wire into the holes by using the shape of the wire, or by squeezing towards the centre, then you should be able to start pulling the headunit out.

hmmm, thats for the 1.5din at least.
    Cheers

Rosscoe - if you can't get it out yourself using the bent coathanger as Slunnie suggested (I couldn't get mine out this way - but that's probably just me), go to any local car stereo shop / installer. Don't know who you've got over there, but anyone like "Audiocom" or "Strathfield" (these are the common ones in the West). They'll have the required tools and their installers will be able to pop the head unit out for you in a matter of seconds. Local shop here didn't even charge me to take mine out - but then again I had just purchased a bit of gear from them.
