09/04 Disco2 Intercooler size?

Can anyone tell me if the inter cooler in a 09/04 disco is larger than the 02 and 03 models. I don't know why or where but I have the impression from somewhere that the later model - 04 models have a larger inter cooler. If they do is it still worth upgrading the inter cooler with an ECU upgrade? If so Why?

I just replaced my intercooler last weekend with a TRS unit. On the top of mine was a sticker saying something like Typhoon EU3. Mine's a Feb 03 build Td5 and the IC that came out is 40mm wide. The replacement IC is 55mm wide. The smoothness in acceleration and decrease in turbo lag is very noticable.

Yep, it's thicker than the early ones.
