2 inch Lift with SLS, how, what etc

    G'day All,

I think I read somewhere about lifting the D2 with SLS. Who has done it and what did you do...ie blow by blow description...please . From basic searching I have done and a chat with MickG, I have had a look at 4x4intelligence.com.au...

    Airbag Suspension Lift Kits
    - alloy blocks go under SLS airbags
    - with extended bump stops
    Discovery 2 50mm - $279

Also from a discussion with me good old mate Mick would be updating rear suspension and front suspension and springs. I think I am using the correct terminology and then getting an expert to fit. Am I on the right path? Also with the SLS as you can raise it, would that then add an extra 30mm at the rear and hence would need a shock to allow that? Any info would be great, thanks,

    Regards

    Stevo68,
I've raised mine 50mm, The back went up 55mm with the sls spacers from Mick and the front 50mm with tough dog springs, was topping out the shocks quite easily and pick my new shocks up this week ,630mm extended, centre of eye to eye. because of the profile of my rims I raised my bump stop hight 50 mm at the back instead of 30mm, at 30mm you can compress the air bag an extra 20mm without damage (so I was told), don't forget to drop your front cross member 15mm.
    Hope this helps.

Stevo, once you raise your D2 you won't be able to sneak into many undercover car parks I would love to lift mine but as it's a daily drive I have not.

No offence mate, we all know my inadequencies in this department , but as stated a whizz on the BBQ, might have to have a Lift and BBQ arvo .

Thanks mate, but I can live with that , thankfully I dont venture into too many carparks....plus can always take the other car if I have too. Though will have to keep that in mind,
