D2 wheel nuts

Check the back door as stated above, that is where mine are.

D2 wheel nuts are the only type of wheel nut I have ever heard of being stolen off a vehicle just for the nuts. Anyone wanting to steel something in that area is usually for the wheels and tyres and the nuts are just tossed.

I also have no tools but was told by the dealer they were under the rear seats. I still haven't found them though. Is there a secret compartment or something.:confused:

Not that i no of they are in the pocket of the rear door.As for the lock nuts,i replaced all mine with normal nuts i got from the wreckers but left the lock nuts on the spare.

Does that mean I was sold an unroadworthy vehicle? Perhaps I can still get the dealer to provide the kit although out of warranty. He seemed a reasonable bloke.

The locknut and remover is only good for a few goes,,
be prepared for $$$ for second hand wheel nuts:eek:
I just use the standard wheel brace,, but I also do the nuts up using it.

Dunno if it is unroadworthy,different states have different rules.The bag in the rear door has a couple of those wheel chock things in it,wheel brace,plastic thing to get the cover off thewheel lock nut & the tool for the wheel lock nut.
Be careful as the lock nuts are different,have seen a couple of different types.As said i have taken all the lock nuts off the road wheels & replaced them with normal nuts,but left one on the spare.The lock nut tool is prone to break,i got caught out once.

I ditched all of my lock nuts.

The only thing that these wheels will fit are other D2's and P38 rangies. They all came with alloys anyway, so theft demand surely wont be there.

On the other hand...... If I cant get the wheel off when I need to because a mild cheese lock nut has rounded. :bat:

I always replace the lock nuts with standard ones. Chuck the locking ones in the tool kit as spares with the keyed nut.

I chewed the lock nuts up and busted the OEM lock nut spanner all in one go. Newer version of Spanner is much better but bought a set of wheel nuts off Bundalene. Only on the spare as already said.

Real hard to get those lock nuts off without the spanner!.
