The regulations concerning use of fog lights are quite specific. Not to be used in conjunction with headlights, either beam; must be used in conjunction with side lights; and may only be used in conditions of poor visibility.
Hi all,
just wondering if anyone knows, can the fog lights be made to come on with the high beams. Currently I have driving lights runningthrough a relay triggered by the fog light wiring. Problem is that they can only be turned on with park lights and low beam. I know it is not currently ADR compliant.
My car has never had fog lights, but the wiring was there and computer turned on, with factory driving light switch plugged into fog light loom.
any info would be good.
thanks
Timbo

Brian, the guy doesn't have fog lights fitted. He's hooked up his driving lights to the fog light circuit.
Timbo, you just need to find out where the fog light wire picks up the low beam circuit & then change the wire to the high beam circuit (which will be nearby).
What sort of car are we talking about here?
P38 maybe from not having fog lights but having the computer turned on.

Sorry guys,
forgot to mention it is a 2000 model D2.
I know the computer can be programmed for different light settings
for different overseas markets, just wondering if the fog lights can be programmed to come on with high beams.
The RAVE manual is a bit ambiguos about this.
thanks timbo
That's how my driving lights( spot lights ) are hooked up at the moment, to Fog light cct ,with with headlights on high beam I can trigger the driving light to switch on/off using the fog light switch on dash.
