Finally hooked the nanocom up today and the only fault logged on the ECU was 20-04 EGR stuck open. I had the EGR removed 12 months ago so I guess that is always going to be logged.
I cleaned the plug on the red cable as I said and throttle response is now much better but I am thinking I will purchase a new cable even if only lasts 12 months I reckon it will be worth it. I see someone has mentioned an aftermarket cable around 200-300 dollars would you happen to know where I could get one.

Hi Ken, an AMR6103 injector harness is RRP $148 from a Dealer last time I checked. I would just replace this one(Inside the rocker cover) as it is the root cause of the oil in the engine harness. Also, check the MAF sensor and the ambient air sensor(In the airbox lid) conectors for oil, I have seen it get all the way into these too!
If you replace the injector harness and clean all the other plugs, you may just have to clean them again in a few months time but that should then be the end of the problem. It is a LOT cheaper than renewing the whole engine loom...
