Where to fit ARB compressor in D2?

Does anybody have any ideas as to where to fit an ARB compressor in a Discovery 2 TD5?
Passenger side firewall space is already reserved for second battery!

I have seen someone on here put one under the passenger seat in a d1 (i think it might have been Treads) but it might be different in a d2

    Hi Shaker,

I haven't done it yet... but I have been told by a friend you can fit one behind the plastic panels in the back. ( Behind the Plastic Panel the rear power outlet is in.)

I haven't yet pulled mine apart to take a good look, but if it looks possible ( and I have been told it's been done).. that's where I am hoping to mount mine.

    Cheers,

The spot behind the plastic panel right at the back seems like a good spot. Has an access panel and all.

yes, the rear quarter pillar is perfect and plenty of room. I put mine on the RH side as I have rear air con which fills the LH side with two bolts through the floor pan into the wheel arch space. I even have the hose in there as well. I simply take out the vent when I need the compressor and when the vent is in place you don't even know it is there. One of the best mod's I have done.

I know in the D1 that you can fit them under the fron seats, gives a clean look. Not sure if you can do this on a D2?

If you do end up putting it under the driver or passenger seats, just be careful not to disturb the cables there. I kept a bag under my seat and this was enough to disable the seat belt tensioners.

Watching with interest though as I need to fir my Bushranger unit somewhere so any pics anyone has would be good

If it's the small one for lockers i'd put it where the jack goes, otherwise the rear panel is a good spot.

Yeah thats where I have mine. Really handy! I have it plumbed out under the car with the outlet attached to the tow bar plate and the button just in side the door.
