Behind the LH rear storage bin.

It can be either bolted to the floor or up against the D pillar. Run a outlet hose to wherever suits you. I remove the clip above the louvered cover and put the outlet through an existing hole. A bit fiddly as you have to remove the whole rear storage bin to gain access.

    Cheers,

Keep it out of the car as they require ventilation. I have installed an ARB unit on the drivers side under the front guard behind the bullbar. It's the opposite side to where the window washer bottle is located. Simply remove the flexible black splash shield and bolt it upside down to the body, which is essentially directly under the headlamp mount. I also run a permanent air hose from the compressor to an easily accessible spot under the bullbar. This arrangement has been trouble free for over 18 months now through sand, mud and water. See diagram.

    Shaker,
Another option for you is to put your second battery in one of the rear paniers and use the second battery location under the bonnet for the compressor. I have found the heat under the bonnet not to be good for the battery so I am about to move mine around. Might look into Franz's and jmkoffice's solutions first though. Handn't thought of those great ideas.

    Cheers
