    Rear Vision Mirror temp guage?

    Hi all
I have a 2001 D2 that has a very impressive rear veiw mirror it dims automatically at night!
It also has a LCD compass readout.
When I turn the ignition on the LCD shows that it also could display temperature(it has small oF and oC)
Question : is there someway I can switch the readout from compass to temperature?? I usually(not always) know which direction I am heading but never know how hot it is

    thanks in advance
    Steve

    I don't think there's a way on the Disco.

I would assume the mirror is supplied to Land Rover from an outside source (like the problematic P38 mirrors) & it's designed for multiple displays. Land Rover would have just chosen the compass display.

I remember reading something about this before. I think it may have been on the long gone disco2(.com) web site. I seem to remember it may have been a USA thing. Try searching some of the USA sites.

Can top that though... There was a post here once about changing a D2's doors to "Unlock ALL" because it was 'too annoying' to press unlock twice

What has the human race come too....

Or my son, who keeps his tv remote on top of his tv so he wont misplace it.
He will walk to his TV, pick up the remote, aim at TV to turn it on, then place the remote back on the top!
It would be quicker to press the button on the TV

I hope Stuuu doesn't see this. I reprogrammed his Disco because he asked for that to be removed

If it has a Temp switch then push it for a few seconds until display blinks F° or C°. Release, then toggle Temp switch to select F° and C°. After a few seconds display will show the temperature reading.

If this does not work I suspect it may be aftermarket with no temp prob. If display shows OC that indicates "open circuit" and therefore no probe or probe with broken wiring running to it. SC indicates "short circuit".
