Cheapest place to get proper 02 sensors
Hi all 02 D2 V8 with an LPG converter that relies on the left bank O2 to adjust mixture. It has just had a full overhaul kit put through and its almost sorted, but the economy could be better and at idle it could be better - I think I know why, because the O2s seem to be out to lunch (cheap made in China jobs that I got off e-bay a couple of years ago) - my scanguage II shows open loop all the time, even when hot. New MAF a year ago.
I think the best thing to do is stick some german Bosch O2s in (first I will clean the connectors and earths for the O2s) - can anyone recommend a supplier.
Cheers

I got a pair from MR Up here in Qld, but they took some time to geet to me. Had to order them in! $90 each. Better than the $200 each LR wanted i hguess. You have to solder them up yourself!

Thanks very much mate. I am in Brisvegas and I like MR. I had not set up the guage correctly for markets with only 02s before the cat converters...now that i have done that it is correctly showing open loop and closed loop on petrol when it should.

No worries. Is that scanguage a useful bit of kit? I was thinking about getting one.

Careful with the Bosch ones. Ones made in Europe are threaded M16 x 1.5 and USA ones are 11/16" x 16 tpi. Only a flyspeck between them but either one will not screw into the other one's boss.

I must have got lucky with the chinese ones I got from the US...fit well and have plugs on that just plug into the harness. They work well too.
The Scanguage II is useful - instant Litres per 100k, av fuel use, instant temp in degrees/f, battery voltage, revs, intake air temp etc. I programmed mine so that it shows the readings of the 02s which is handy. It also shows kw output.

I have bought 2 sets from the USA guy in Florida. I am not sure that this is the same guy but probably.
New universal Bosch for my M3 were USD $28 each and I think the Titanias for my 14CUX were about 30 something.
Both were perfect for the application but I had to crimp wires for the BMW. No big deal as there are universal colour codes for o2 wires. I saved about $500-600 as I think the BMW OE ones were about $350 . A lot for a plug.
Obviously there were no wires for the 14CUX.
