g'day, I have to take the front drive shaft off my D2 to be repaired. If i engage my CDL can i drive car as per normal (2wd) with drive shaft removed? I've read the procedure in past posts and luckily i have CDL. Cheers.

Yes I have done this as well. Just be really careful as the handling of the car will change severely.
After you have driven it in 2wd you will be glad when it is back to constant 4wd; they drive like sh*#....
good for circle work tho........
Just joking, they drive worse when it is front wheel drive, too much torque steer![]()

Yes no dramas as others have said. This is how a I drove back to Adelaide from bordertown after doing the border Track. Drives strange and you get a bit of backlash apart from that its all good.
