Not strictly true.  If the oils gone as far as the ECU then its bad karma all round.  The best way to check if this is the issue is to unplug the injector harness at the front driver's side of the engine and check that plug.  If there's oil in the injector loom causing an issue it will be visible there.  If its real bad, then check back at the ECU.
