For the Turbo hoses looking at about one hour.
For the EGR I dont know. Did not do it myself but should not take very long.
If you have butter fingers like me Well maybe longer.

if i could get a reply from BAS on email id order the hose kit, their website doesnt seem to be working properly for me either that or im just retarded and cant find the link to hoses :S

I tried them as well, got no reply. So i don't think your that retarded lol

Hi all, maybe an old but a very good thread. I have owned my disco 2 td5 for 10 years and she has gradually slowed down and feels sluggish and slow. I put this down to age and mileage and was debating a larger intercooler and chip. Following your thread I have just replaced the hoses and cleaned out the intercooler.


Its a new car! Back to how she was, very little black smoke and now at about 2500 rpm I can feel the turbo surge again when overtaking.

Take your time with the EGR kit, a few bits to remove. There is a 3 way fitting on the vacuum line, from memory, that needs to have a cap put on one spigot, when the vacuum line to the EGR set up is removed. Super cheap has them. One tip. Pick a kit that has a lip around the pipe that connects to the inlet manifold. My hose blew off just outside of Longreach, my kit just has a straight flange. I have to do some creative clamping to keep the hose on. Bob
