Well done!![]()
Last night, with a great deal of assistance form Walker, we replaced the inhibitor switch and YAY!... no more flashing green lights on the dash, and no more 'limp home mode' every time we change gear from R to D, esp in the mornings........Mrs Wardy is a very happy D2 driver again now![]()

Delighted to hear that works.
I've been quoted $900 to have a new inhibitor switch installed. Am currently having to restart the car twice each time I leave the driveway....
I've had the M + S lights flash and the warning tone sound twice recently.
First time was three beeps and flashing when ignition was put into position 2. Turned the key, fired up no dramas and off we went
Second time was a couple of days later, warning beep cut off very quickly but the lights still flashed.
Same thing, turned the key, off they go and I'm away
Box has been running without a hitch
Am I worried? Not really.
Should I be? probably, it is a LandRover after all![]()
Re The cost of the inhibitor switch, I replaced mine recently. The cost of the part was in the region of $400 new from the UK. I can double check if need be.
I was parking mine in neutral facing forward, and going straight to drive from there to avoid Reverse where possible.
You got the switch very cheaply Daniel. I recently purchased a new switch from tjr UK, $620 including delivery. Quoted in excess of $1000 + substantial dollars for fitting. Fitted new switch & adjusted, still has flashing lights. Replaced battery - all OK. Problem was battery, not switch
