With the motor on the drivers side it is just the 2 bolts that attatch the motor that stick out too far. Just need to run a longer battery and earth cable and it will be sweet.

Dave I looked carefully into doing this with an XD9000 so that I could run an XP motor on to it. What prevents them being run like this is that on winch in the brake will be on and dragging, and then off again for winching out. As far as I could work out there was no way to reverse the braking mechanism or graft other parts from the 10000lb+ winches to allow it to work like this.

Are the crush cans on properly?
Can the mount holes be elongated?
    Cheers

All the crush cans are good and yes the holes can be elongated a little. I did not take into consideration the brake and you are so right. As you say the brake will be on whilst winching. I will swap the freespool lever back to its original position and probably ream out the mounting holes in the bar a little. Very frustrating.
    Thanks Slunnie

Cheers i will look into that spacer when I get time this week. Can you believe that the local arb shop reckon that the winch fitting kit $69.00 is unavailable and about a 5 week wait. I only wanted the square nuts that are held captive in the winch housing. So a trip to the local nut and bolt stores located some for a couple of dollars.
    Thanks people

Finaly got it to fit, it was just a matter of wiggling it a bit. and enlarging the bolt holes in the bar by about 1mm. The Bolts that i got from the engineering place are great and I completed the wiring today. Spooled the cable on just to see how it goes and its all good. I will now re-spool it under load to get it nice and tight.
So happy that all up it has cost $220.00 including new heavy duty 12volt cables. No need for the spacer either.
    Thanks guys
