I agree. I was wondering how you get it reliable and workable with those tyres and that lift. Even though Hilux centres would give strength and ratios, the low pinion height would make it really hard on the tailshafts with vibrations. Ford Hi9 is about all I can think of for the rear, which is barely even developed yet. Landcruiser front centre would work with 4.1 or 4.3 ratio and strength.
Hmmm, fun and games.

that is one nice ride that is not going under any under ground car park
Did you say it still had air bags in it l would love to find out more about how they lifted it with air bags
I know there is a white one in VIC with 37s
did you say it had a body lift
looking at photos it just look like the supsenion has been done
Hope the owner get on line and lets use know a little more about his ride because it is one of the best look D2 rides I ve seen bar the JTM bar on the frount could at least put a good looking ARB one on
did you notice if those rims were off set and by how far
that one with 37 s is running a V8 there were 2 landy's in 4wd monthly around the same time they were both V8
The other one is blue and is on the 4wd monthly web sit![]()
The airbags are the SRS airbags, not the SLS airbags.
The giveaway for the body lift is the clearance of the tow hitch to the bumper.
the rims look like regular Procomp Disco2 16x8's. I'm not sure what the offset is as I've only seen the 16x7's actually on a Disco2.

see what you mean about the tow hitch the body lift cant be more then 50mm looking at that tow hitch
the the person who posted the photos know weather it did have coils all round
slunnie you have all so got a sweet ride a question will 33 s with a 3 to 4 inc lift fit under the guards of a d2
all so any idear on lifting 3 to 4 inc and keeping the rear airbags![]()
i had to go back to look for the playdo aswell, that is one tough looking D2 very very nice
Hey thanks Skellz,
I was briefly chatting to Tombie about this. I think that it can be done by using 2" bags with a 50mm airbag spacer. You'd also need to do bumpstops to suit longer shocks, longer shocks, ABS/brake lines to suit, possibly also watt linkage mods to suit also. Strangely though I don't know of anybody that has done it, but I don't see any reason why it cant be done. Also swaybar links to suit (use fronts in the rear).
Cheers
