You are the reason I have a landy after seeing your's in overlander 4wd june 2004 i had to have one

Has any one in Vic ask around about the landy in the Vic Landy club

Some one down there must know something a wargon that good you cant hide for to long
Oh wow! Thanks man... jeez that really surprised me about the article! shes a bit different these days to back then.

Oh yeah! Thats Brooksy up in QLD. He's found a direct airbag swap to do 4" - I forgot about that one. For some reason it doesn't look like it flex's as much as it should do - that may be related to swaybars though. He's also running offset Mickey Thompson or something similar rims IIRC. You can find him pretty easily as the user Brooksy on Outerlimits4x4. I think he has a build description of the car on there.

They're the only pics of Tombies car I've seen. His running coils all round, but did a lot or all of the design work for the SLS spacers.
    Cheers

it must be at least 4' in the springs and another 2' in the body to get that sorta clearence over 35s. but looks awesome! although i dont think the owner would appreciate the his plates going up with the words bodylift in the same thread as the transport department chaps have a habit of doing people from forums such as ours.

id be keen as to body lift mine, i figure i dont need the SRS bags anyway in a LR :P

He'll be right - if he was really worried then he wouldn't have fitted the body lift.

Some of the guard clearance looks may have also come from the cutting and fitting of the flares.

I wonder why a car built like that doesn't have a winch.

did you say it had a body lift

looking at photos it just look like the supsenion has been done

Hope the owner get on line and lets use know a little more about his ride because it is one of the best look D2 rides I ve seen bar the JTM bar on the frount could at least put a good looking ARB one on

did you notice if those rims were off set and by how far
No it was coils all way around. I should have snapped a pic of under the rear guard. It was nicely finished. Dont think the rims were offset.

Yeah there was a fair bit of cutting to the rear guards. I was surprised the flairs went as high as they did and werent a bit flatter. I als was wondering about the winch issue though Simon...seems a shame not to finish it off.

It might be a show pony. There was a spot of dirt on it, even in the wheel arches. Either the guy cleans it meticulously or the work was just done. I think it might have been cause the Copper STTs look almost brand new!

Anyone else think it has a bit of a nose down sort of stance?

the flares look pretty tuff but the back ones don look too well fitted.

and its gonna suck when he does a tire in the bush with no spare, or mount for it for that matter.

lets hope he joins the AULRO and answers all the question for us
