I waive to all Deefer/County, Series, Disco 1 and 2 and pre-p38 Range Rover drivers...and usually get a waive back. Many times they are waiving at me first or at least at the same time. I dont waive to D3/D4's...tried a few but true to form most of the buyers are not enthusiasts. Perhaps in a few more years time there will be some in the D3/D4s.

    Cheers

Well after the Bris/ Cns/ Dwn/Alc/Adl/Syd/Bris, Bris/Syd/ Bris trips and general to-ing and fro-ing with 1- 2 responses, I gave the wave a rest for a few months.
Started again recently and have come to a similair conclusion to the above: D2 and later don't bother unless you see some evidence of off-road intentions, eg; whip, wheels, racks, sliders.
Did a beach run up Cooloola on the weekend, thought for sure I'd get a response out there. pffft. Guess, I'll just keep getting those looks until I've educated all of SEQ

Disagree with you there Dave, sorry!
I'm in a D2 and wave at ANYTHING with a green oval on it.
The people I have the least response from is the new gen RR's, D3's and (and I hate to say this), but I don't get much response from newer Deefer owners.

G'Day Kieren, to clarify, I meant all models post D1. Shiny, unscratched Extremes are up there with the RRvogues
(except the ones here of course)
    Dave.

P.S. Yes, my choice to wave, their choice not to, but I reserve the right to follow an unanswered wave with another kind of wave
