HELP! Hazards won't stop and Td5 won't start

Just dropped the oil and replaced it with new along with the filter.

When all done, went to start my DII Td5 and the hazard lights started then when as the dash lights go off, not all of them do (you know how they go off in stages? well the second stage lights don't)

So then the hazard AND the M and S lights flash (I know the issue with just the M and S and can fix that but this is different).

    Please help!!

I have taken off most of the connectors and sprayed them out, disconnected the battery multiple times but the same thing occurs. The hazards do not come on straight away after the battery is conencted again, just as I go to start. Then even when the key is pulled out, they will not go off until the battery is disconnected.

    Cheers
    Caine

    downhill descent
    battery
    oil
red circle light above the temp gauge

and the hazards and M and S lights flash together. The car turns over but wont start...

Try pressing the fuel cut off switch thingo.

On a V8 Disco1 it is mounted high on the firewall passenger side behind the washer bottle.
On a Disco1 it will flash the hazards and cut the fuel pump.

I know yours is a diesel D2 but worth a try.

If you need to clean the connectors in your engine bay to get your car to start after an oil change then I think you need to refine you skills

Spilling the new oil on the exhaust manifold is bad enough!
Boy does it stink when you do that.

Maybe you should get a filter removal tool. I use a belt one on the TD5 because its easy to get it onto the filter.
