It is a great drive in the wet, which it always seems to be there. We stop for lunch at the shed with the fire place and keep warm.

That lookout has an excellent view of the Tweed Valley when the clouds aren't there.

mrapocalypse, I assume that it's aslo got a 2 inch lift with those tyres?

Looks great and those MT's really fill up the wheel arches!

It would have been better had we been able to see the view cos the Blond babe in the passenger seat, ie Mrs Apocalypse, got pretty bored splashing around in the mud! Whereas I, on the other hand, coulda done it all day! There's a lot to see and do down there. I recommend it!

D2 has a saggy OME 2" lift! When I first saw it in the tyre shop I was a little shocked. It's pretty Tonka! Those Mickey T's are a very remarkable tyre, pretty full on MT but really quiet and better grip than the Cooper ST in all conditions... I'm stoked.

I was actually wondering my D2 did not seem to come with the passenger side factory inclusion. Do we have a LR part number I can use to source a similar aftermarket modification?

Here's a shot I took of a D2 a few years ago. It's on the Lower Block track on the Avon River (pre flood & fire damage). The photo ended up on the vehicle owners web site, and then LROCV asked if they could use it on their site, which is where I've lifted it from to paste it here.

It's always a big day when you can take your Disco down a narrow creek bed and not worry about the branches scratching it!
