It's simply a computer setting.
If you can find someone local with a Nanocom - they can turn that off.
If not you'll need a dealer or Land Rover specialist to sort it.

Hi Guys
I have just purchased a D2 that has had the air suspension removed for coils but they left the air compressor in place to run on its merry way every 10 to 20 seconds. I thought to remove it so it doesn't burn out as I am thinking to reacquire the bags and return it to SLS capable, I need new air lines as well as they mangled or cut them also in taking the bags old.
My problem is, now I have had the dash SLS light come on (I can put up with this at the moment) and there is an annoying alarm going off all the time as well.
How can I stop the annoying alarm, short of putting the compressor back and burning it out? Is there an easy self fix or do I have to go to LR for them to plug the car in and re program the computer?
Thanks and I am enjoying and learning lot from your posts.
Tony

Hi Tony
as mentioned there is a computer setting - I can even do that for you - PM me if you want...

G'Day Tony.
If you can't get nanocomed, and if your height sensors are still in place you should be able to refit the compressor and plug the lines (very well!) to keep the boxasparks happy.
I assume the D2 hasn't been raised, or the system wouldn't be attempting to raise the height.
Dave.
Tony,
Get the electronics sorted through a test book (or someone with Nanocom).
Then, hook up the compressor to a manual switch, connect an air line and you have an onboard compressor for pumping up tyres - the SLS compressor beats the old ARB compressor in reinflating a 32" tyre anyday.
Cheers,
Franz
Oops, I should read more carefully...

the SLS compressor is not rated for a heavy duty cycle it has plastic piston and other parts so don't expect it to last as a tyre inflator!

I just did the same thing Wed/Thur before Easter. Had bags pulled out and springs and shocks put in all round. They did all the computer stuff and so had no issues with alarms.
I asked if I should leave the compressor in for the tyres and toys (plan included add a 9kg fire extinguisher as a air tank) and was told they dont last as a tyre inflator so dont bother.
so i didnt![]()

i did the coil swap in my car a few months back and i removed the sensors and compressor all at the same time but i was careful with the air lines n things i didnt mangle them.
i have the warning light but no warning sound.
