    Under seat DVD player.

Anybody got a spare Eurovox under seat DVD player that works.
I got a non fuctioning one.
I went to buy a new DVD player but all I can find are the in dash ones which also play CD/AM/FM/AUX with pop up screens.
I like the old one as It comes with wireless head phones and the wife and I can get a bit of peace from the back seat on a long trip.
    Cheers Lionel

    G'day Matt
ooops! as the head phones work off the infrared signal from the screen I'm going to try and hook up another DVD player not necessarily the OEM one.
So I am hopping the head phones will still work with a different DVD.
    this might take a while.
Anybody else replaced just the DVD player with another other than the LR supplied one?

    Cheers Lionel

My Eurovox stacker went bung on the way back from Cape York (was a very dull drive back, entertainment-wise) and I got it fixed for $110 at a local electronics workshop. Took a few weeks for them to do it, but was reasonably priced.

How terminally dead is it? Mine kept announcing error code 1234 or something every time you tried to play anything, so it wasn't totally dead.

    Hi Lionel,

My 2003 Disco DVD player did the same thing, up and died, I rang the Eurovox Distributors: a mob called Go-Technologies on (03) 9237 0800.
They were very reasonable, I got a replacement with 6mths warranty for about $250.

    Best of luck,
    Johnsy

Thanks Johnsy, did it come with another remote?
    Might be in luck Matt.
Yeah mine is just dead, power going in and thats where it stops.
Did your screen go dead too when the DVD failed?
    Cheers Lionel

    Hi Lionel,

Mine did not come with a new remote, the old one was still ok.
The DVD player when it died started out with INVALID DISK msg, progressing to spitting the DVD out as soon as it went in, the screen would start up blue and then say Automobile DVD Player, and then back to blue when the DVD spat out.
Hopefully Go-Tech can help you out, the bloke we dealt with was called Rob Biviano and he was super helpful and knew lots about Land Rover DVD and Stereo products.
    Cheers,

    Johnsy

    Sorry Lionel,
Forgot to mention, to check the screen I hooked up an X-Box via the Red, Yello and White plugs and it played ok (cant remember about the sound, I think it worked).
Also check the foam covered plug in the line into the DVD player, there are 2 fuses there, and soon after the new one arrived it stopped (dead) but it was a blown fuse in the in line plug.
    Regards,

    Johnsy

We installed a generic 0.5DIN unit in a dust-proof box to replace the faulty original, and hooked in an FM tuner so as we don't continue to burn a small fortune in AAA batteries. All works well, and if we want to listen to the radio the kids can still use the headsets.
We've also bought two extra generic IR headsets to save on arguments and they work fine.
