I know this is a little late to be adding to this thread but, a friend just got a TDUK diesel power chip from the UK(off Ebay) for a Disco 2 TD5. It is apparently the same as a DPchip. It cost $545.00(Australian) delivered to the front door in Melbourne plus a 10 minute installation. No wires were needed to be soldered anywhere, as I have heard you have to do with other brands of chip.

    My friend is very impressed.

No surging or any other problems as stated by some vendors in this forum.

As for Dpchip and the other well known brand, I have rang and asked them to justify their prices(around $1300) when you can buy a remapable chip for a motorbike and have it tuned on a dyno for $800. They haven't really got any good answer to justify their prices.

I would say my friend got a bit of a bargain.
I hope this helps someone reading this.
    Cheers

I'll say, thats a LOT less than their website special lists at...

Without freight their discounted price comes out at over $650.00 AUD.

    Glad he's happy with it.

As for bikes, slightly different kettle of fish....PowerCommander III and quick dyno tune may be $800.00, but less parameters to adjust in a EFI bike...

Hmmmm, forgot to mention that the price($545) was with an ebay make an offer discount, and with excellent support over the phone

There are still none of the problems as suggested by some vendors in this forum!

    Suggested by WHOM?

And what problems are you referring to?

Is it making the right amount of boost? What EGTs is it getting to under load?

How much extra 'mumbo' is he now making?

There are so many variable, this is a open ended statement.
