[Discovery SII TD5] Upgrading maximum flext with only +2" lift kit

					Hi all,

What is the best articulation affordable with a simple +2" lift kit ? Currently I have OME standard setup and I am thinking on Bilstein 7100, but I do not have experience on extended shocks and their collateral problems if they exist. My idea is to attaint the maximum possible articulation without the upgrade to +3" . I am searching .:
  - The more adequate shocks for heavy duty OME coils
  - Do I need extended brake lines ? Extended ABS sensors ? I yes where to buy them ?
  - Where to get extended pieces for the two sway-bars ? If yes where to buy them ?
  - What are the collateral works to do for do not brake the shocks on compression ?
pd: my wheels are currently 245/75/16
 Thanks in advance.

im running the suspension stuff 2" mates rates kit and it goes alright. The limiting factor is the shocks however. I too am looking at going to the bilstein 7100's but will be going up to a 4-5" at the same time.

As for the 2" no you wont need extended brake or abs lines the solution is just unbolt the the bracket where they attach to the chassis and tech screw it in a bit lower. My front ones are just zip tied out of the way.

As for extending the sway bars i simply removed mine completely. Although not totally legal Ive found that it doesnt destroy the handling totally. After a week or so you dont even notice it anymore and just drive accordingly.
You will need to space the front crossmember a bit to allow for the increased front drive shaft angle.

D2's will never flex like a GQ or an 80 series but you will get it working better then standard.

bite the bullet get some lockers n you wont need as much flex :P

A months ago I have removed all sway-bars off, but I have had wooble problems on fast cornering on road. After a change of the direction shock it better handles, and after put again the front sway-bar the wooble practically is disappeared. I think the wobble problem is caused by changing in castor angle on front (my theory) but the front sway-bar make a lot of difference in this problem I have.
Currently I have an hybrid lift kit, with +2" Bearmach Blue springs and OME shocks. I have contacted Devon4x4 for the extended OME shocks, but they do not exist for Disco2 :-( At this point, I have learned about Bilstein 7100 and Lovells shocks, and my intention is to have +2" shocks mounted, but I do not have info about the collateral problems that need to be solved (bottom out at compression ? problems on maximum extension ?).

Hey there i have a lovells 2 inch kit all round on my D2 it was fitted when i brought it but i haven't had any real trouble with shocks cause lack of travel. I have how ever had silly things go wrong like the bush's in my shocks slip through, I realy can not uderstand why. But apart from that it is realy comfitable on and off the road, if that is any help..
