My trailor light was flashing and I took this to be normal, am I wrong here? The trailor light (on the dash) flashed only when I used the indicators, I checked and all electrics on the trailor were working ok, !! duh!!

Hey Simon, yes when I had my bike trailer first hooked up to the car, the indicator lights both on the dash and externally stopped working about 3 hrs into the trip. Intermitantly one of the indicator lights would come on inside the car, but all the time every time I indicated the trailer light would flash instead. Turned out to be 2 blown fuses.
From memory both in the fuse box under the bonnet.

    Cheers
    JB.

Simon, if your truck indicators are working normally, and your trailer dash light flashes when indicating with a trailer attached, then all is good. The dash light indicates that the trailer indicators are working as it detects the higher current draw occuring when indicating. If your trailer lights were not working, then the dash light would not flash, telling you there is a problem.

My odometer was flashing after the alternator failed & all of the power was drained out of the battery.
Managed to get home but as previously mentioned I had the three amigo's & all of their families flashing.
All of the lights were fixed when the new alternator was fitted however the odometer was still flashing.
Had to go back to get the body control unit & instrument cluster synchronised via nanocom.
    This fixed the problem.

Trailer dash light will flash if you have a bullbar fitted as the car detects the additional indicators fitted to the bullbar.
I fixed this by fitting LED indicator globes in the bullbar - these operate at lower current draw & the car does then not detect them.
They are also good as they are long lasting.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards

    Chuck

Chuck, good info. Was the correction for the odometer flashing done by any old nanocom, or at the dealer?
