I had the same symptoms as McDisco,
between 85/100k deep but quiet noise and small vibration, it was the rear donut, I changed to a D1 shaft(no donut)

Yeah that donut is known to give trouble, when its worn down. Still not as bad as loosing a bolt, the vibration through the car then is absolutely unbearable. Had that happen to me on Fraser Island, couldn't do over 80kph when I went home.
Baffle, how are you find the D1 shaft with the rear uni, is there much added vibration through that car?
    Cheers
    Hendrik

    Problem solved

    Hi,

Sorry for the late reaction. Didn't had any internet acces.

Problem is gone it was the rear suspension that was loose a bit and it had moved. They solved the problem in mt Gambier.

    Thanks for your answers.

I'm now in Alice without any problems accept the bad weather over here.

    Hey jvdk41

Can you be a bit more specific? What component moved?..

Hope the trip is still going well.

    Angus
