    CDL Idea, Your thoughts?

I've been thinking of making an electrically activated mechanism, like the AMV one, which I believe is just a wiper motor or something similar. Instead of mounting the motor on the transfer case itself, where it is exposed to water and dust and so on. Why not mount the motor high up just under the center console, just near the hi-low lever, and a lever down to the spigot. Could even make a bracket for, and mount it correctly and securely. The other option, which Ashcrofts sells, is a solenoid activated mechanism, which I have also looked into. What are your thoughts?
I might look into it and see how hard it would be.
    Cheers

It is VERY easy to make your own mechanical acuator.
Search "My DIY CDL broke itself" as a start.
Once you find it willing to help with more info if you need it.

Yeah I've already made a mechanical one. I'm always interested in doing things different, so I think I'll give this a go.

    Cheers Hendrik
