haha that is my dads baby. he loves it. he is however, a through and through landrover man too. i have to guard mine with my life from him hahaha. He misses the range rover vogue plus we used to have. god it was nice. dark green. i miss that thing too!

Took this one tonight, just finished processing it... probably not the best Milky way photo to be taken, but such it is.
This is one of those photos that happens because the idea in your head doesn't work out.
Behind me is the Tidbinbilla Deep Space Tracking station, you know the one from Jeff Wayne's Musical War of the Worlds right at the end when the astronaut is calling back to earth, "come in Canberra..."
Anyway, the point of this is that I had in my mind a night shot of the radio dishes with the milky way in the background, only the access road puts you on the south side of the complex, which means the milky way shot in my mind is not going to work out.
Unfortunately, there is no 'legal' northern access that I can see.
So not to waste the trip out there, I indulged in capturing my other time and money sink, the Land Rover Discovery S2 and what I was going to get of the Milky way. :)

how did you take such a wonderful photo? it is amazing!
my disco was earning its keep the other day moving my pano to where it is out of the weather :D so can work on it no matter the weather or the shape im in and no more rock bruises!! disco tows so well! the panoramic one is a dud photo as i had quite nasty tremors happenign so thats the best it turned out haha.
