and with that, I bid you adieu...

Well, I have made a few posts on here, and many of you were so helpful, so thank you for that. I bought a 2004 Land Rover Disco 2 V8 with 50,000km and had it for all of 36 hours before the 3 amigos came about. After about 10 days of ownership, 7 days of which was spent in various Land Rover specialists service bays, I can say I have found the unequivocal solution to the 3 amigos!

    (gasp)

    Buy anything BUT Land Rover!

I know, I know - "there isn't another car with the off-road capabilities"......

But you know what, if those capabilities dont work half the time, then whats the point!

But again, I really did just want to thank you all for your help and even kind offers to lend your nanocoms for diagnosis. If only Land Rover offered as much help, maybe we'd all be better off, and I'd still be a Disco owner. As it stands, I have decided to go back to the Jap trucks, at lease people are willing to work on them!

So thanks again, and all the best, may you have many amigo-free years!

No worries Supasquad, At least you walked the talk and have owned a LR before you bag it out ; ).
Land Rover Aust is its' own worst enemy, no-one here will deny.
I hope that you at least got to get into the rough stuff to test the D2 before things went sour.
    All the best, Dave.

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. I actually thought getting your ABS module replaced under warranty was going to be an excellent solution for you.

I wish you all the best.

Unfortunate to lose a Landy driver!

...but I'm sure this is how these cars separate the weak from the truly mad.

Somehow I suspect many of us secretly think the same as you Supasquad. For what ever reason we stick with our LR badges but out of loyalty, fanaticism or sheer bloody minded stubborness I don't know.

At least you had a go. Good luck and safe and happy reliable driving to you.
