First Post - D2 TD5
Hi all, i'm in the process of buying my first Diso 2 and am really hyped about it. I've jumped ahead a little bit to see what tuning options are available to me for this car and I came across a company called Syntek who can do a custom tune on the Vehicle for around $600.00.
THis includes a full re-map of the ecu and some adjustment to the turbo wastegate, the figures they are claiming are a 30% jump in torque to 439nm and 25% jump in KW output.
These forums look really handy and i'm a big fan of forums, have been with my last cars, so i'm hoping someone could let me know if they have heard of these guys before, or.. reccomendations as what would be the best options.
Also, I can seem to find power output measurments for the 2003 D2 TD5, closest I can get seems to be around 101.1kw and 338nm, can anyone let me know if I'm close??

Good choice Captcav.
Is it an auto or manual? If it's an auto, I would think seriously about a transmission cooler. These figures are certainly realistic, but you probaably need an bigger exhaust system aswell (possibly 3").
With 440Nm there will be other parts of the drivetrain that may need replacing too.
All the best.

Captav, I'd keep the vehicle stock for at least 10,000 km to confirm it is running properly. During this time any problems can be isolated and rectified before introducing an upgrade.

You need to talk to Tombie2 on this forum - his re-maps seem to be well regarded. Do a search on Tombie ecu upgrades
cheers, Andy
