A bit of coolant under top radiator hose

    Hi,

Yesterday when I was looking at how to install the EngineSaver I saw a bit of coolant just under the joint where the top radiator hose and ETC. Yes I have been losing some coolant thats why I better install enginesaver untill I find where it leaks.

Do you think there is a leak on the hose, ETC sensor or even something more serious/hard to fix leak?

I read on some thread that the climpers on the Top Radiator hose are also sometime fail.

If it still has the spring clamps then replace them with normal ones. The one at the engine top hose is big and looses its tension more readily than smaller ones, although there are other big ones elsewhere too.

Had EXACTLY the same problem, would loose a little coolant over a week or so, just happened to look there whilst she was running and hot, and spotted the little bas***d drip!! and the pink stain below.......

Got that stupid clamp off as Graeme says, Pulled the pipe, cleaned the tube fitting as it was a little "crusty" where it had been leaking and that never helps a pipe to seal, fitted a nice tight Jubilee clip, topped up the coolant, Problem sorted

Got 2 other friends with TD5's that also did the same thing when I looked at theirs, as stated there are loads of these dumb clips, I have replaced a few so far, but I would HIGHLY recommend everyone does this top one.

Yes it still has the spring clamp like graeme says. Just went to look after read the reply, the clamp sit too close to the edge of the hose on the bottom side. It may loose the tension. Will resit tommorow morning and get the normal clamp on the weekend.

    Thanks alot. Really appreciate.
