Glad you have a fix there Fen,
just curious how you diagnosed it was the solenoid valve in the compressor?
and
Where did you get the compressor from?
Well done.
WOOHOO
Well finally got my SLS sorted (hopefully)
Many many moons ago, in a galaxy far away....my drivers side rear started sagging.
Did the soapy test and replaced bags from Arnotts USA.
Bags pumped up, I smiled
Next morning, I came out to find its ass draggin on the ground again.
After fiddling and finding a loose air connection, and connector, I replaced these and it still sagged. (thanks to Simon for the replacement)
So I left it, and let it up and down itself, in the mean time trying to decide whether to go coils, get another compressor, etc,. knowing one day the compressor will shag itself.
Turns out the valve block in the compressor was stuffed.
Anyway, another compressor fitted, vehicle sitting high & mighty, me happy.....
If.....the thing goes down tomorrow,I'll be driving it straight into Moreton Bay![]()

Hey Simon
I also found a part no. for that little brass olive and connector you sent me too!
I didn't diagnose the valve prob, MR Automotive did![]()
There is a compressor mob down the road from me, so I'm going to see if they can reco/repair the other one. (It actually works fine, just goes overnight)
The other one seems to work fine and she's level and staying up, got it off ebay from a mob in WA (beebo 4x4)
New ones from Terrain Vehicles in England landed here for $630AUD or from Jag Rover spares in Brissy $770
Now to get some new rubber and start heading out again!!
SLS suspensions...I'm over them.![]()
I thought this thread was similar to my problem but my compressor has just totally given up; can't even hotwire it.
Is there anyway to get some air back into the bags independantly of the original compressor. I just want to drive the 60ks to my mechanic to get some standard coils in for the time being. Currently dragging its tail in the dirt.![]()

hey mate i got these valves do's from a mob on the net for about 45 where you take the lines out of the compressor and join there valves in which have connection to normal tyre valves its called emergency sls kit or somthing.
You can use your own compressor and connect it into a 'SLS valve block' from 4x4 Intelligence... ($84).

Thanks for the advice but a mate has loaned me some springs, I got some plates and have converted to coils. Was going to do this eventually anyway, just did it sooner. I was hoping to do it when installed suspension lift but that can wait now till I offload the old 'cruiser, along with purchasing a bar and winch....
Cheers
