Thread: thermo fan running continuously

Hi,
I have just done the egr removal thing and whilst doing this, I removed the water jacket and sensor next to the end of the exh manifold to enable me to fit the blanking plate.
I should also mention that the battery wasn't disconnected when I removed the sensor plug. Would this cause the fan to run? Has the ecu logged a fault maybe?
I must say the egr removal has cleared up some rough exceleration and the new trs ecu has turned my disco into a rocket, highly recommended.

If the ignition is turned on whilst the water temperature sensor is disconnected, a fault code will be logged which then needs to be cleared by dealer/nanocom/etc.
